The care process
How to prepare for telehealth medical intake
THE SHORT ANSWER
Prepare your medication list, allergies, relevant health history, and questions. Confirm how the provider will conduct the review and where to send information securely. Completing checkout and completing medical intake are different steps; payment does not guarantee a prescription.

Confirm how your medical review will work
Ask whether the review uses a secure questionnaire, a phone conversation, a video appointment, or a combination. A checkout confirmation alone should not be interpreted as an appointment time or a completed evaluation. Follow the instructions from the clinical provider.
HHS recommends checking visit details, costs, accessibility needs, and any forms before a telehealth appointment. If video is required, test the device and internet connection and choose a private location where you can speak comfortably.

Gather information before you open the form
HHS suggests preparing medicines, allergies, questions, and relevant health measurements for a virtual visit. Use the provider’s instructions to decide which records are needed. If a measurement is requested and you do not know it, ask how to obtain it rather than guessing.
- List current medicines and supplements with their labeled details.
- Write down allergies and prior treatment experiences.
- Have requested records available through the provider’s secure upload route.
- Note the questions you want answered before making a treatment decision.

Separate customer support from medical information
Use general customer support for an order reference, an unclear email, or trouble finding a link. Use the designated clinical channel for symptoms, medical records, and treatment questions. This keeps the right information with the people who can act on it.
For Toven, medical intake is separate from the storefront. If you cannot find the intake instructions after payment, contact hello@tovenhealth.com with your order reference. Do not include card details or medical records in that message. The order policy explains the current handoff.
Ask what happens after the review
Before the review ends, make sure you know how the outcome will be communicated. If more information is needed, ask which information, how to provide it, and whether you should expect a further conversation.
If treatment is offered, request instructions from the actual prescriber and pharmacy. Ask who to contact about the label, delivery, storage, or an unexpected reaction. A storefront’s marketing page is not a substitute for prescription-specific instructions.
- How will I receive the decision and any next steps?
- Who answers medical questions after the initial review?
- Are any further appointments or tests required?
- How do I request a refill review or decide not to continue?
Understand the difference between an order and a prescription
Toven’s initial order is subject to independent medical review. The separate doctor’s prescription review fee is disclosed in the order flow. Approval is required before treatment and fulfillment, and the order policy describes refunds if treatment is declined.
Save the order confirmation and the provider’s instructions so you can refer to both. If the proposed treatment or price changes after review, read the revised details before agreeing. You should be able to distinguish the product order, clinical evaluation, and pharmacy fulfillment as separate parts of the process.
Common questions
Does paying mean I have been prescribed the product?
No. An initial order does not replace medical review or guarantee a prescription.
Should I send health records to the general support email?
Use the clinical provider’s secure intake or requested upload route. Ask general support for help finding that route without attaching medical records.
